10. Programming Now For The Future


Shows that started this decade include Anjali and The Kid (now Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Kush), The Asian Pacific Islander American Collective, Fight the Empire, The Food Show, Guess Who’s Coming to Radio!?, Hard Knock Radio, the Melting Pot, Night of the Living Tongue, One Two One Two, Plugged in, Radio Under the Influence, Tonali, The Tongan Hour, and Xicanismo.

 KBOO hosted a variety of on-air specials, from a 101-hour Dada special, to a full day of special programming about 9/11 and the impact on civil liberties and Muslims. KBOO also broadcasted Radio Movimiento’s (PCUN) barn-raising from Woodburn where the Prometheus Radio Project launched the low power radio station KPCN.
